NEURAL PATHWAYS SPEECH THERAPY
Neural Pathways Speech Therapy is a private practice serving Elk Grove, CA, and surrounding communities. The practice is dedicated to supporting individuals with complex developmental and acquired speech, language, and communication needs, including those with developmental delays, disabilities, and cognitive-communication disorders secondary to neurological conditions.
At the core of our approach is the understanding that knowledge of the neural foundations of speech, language, and communication is essential for accurately identifying each individual’s areas of need and for developing highly personalized, effective treatment plans


ELIZABETH TIJIBOY, M.S., CCC- SLP
OWNER
Elizabeth brings over 15 years of experience with a strong focus on working with children with developmental disabilities. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, Elizabeth has worked with both children and adults presenting with a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders, including receptive and expressive language delays and disorders secondary to neurological conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) and Parkinson’s disease. She is passionate about collaborating with families and empowering caregivers to serve as active partners in the therapeutic process

MONIQUE ALVARADO
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Monique completed a post-baccalaureate program in Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, San Marcos, and obtained her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. She has over 5 years of experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, she worked as a school aide, behavioral therapist, regional center service coordinator, and community integration assistant supporting adults with developmental disabilities.

MISTY WILHELM
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST ASSISTANT
Misty earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Human and Family Development from Arizona State University. She has 7 years of experience working with individuals across a wide range of ages and medical and developmental diagnoses as a paraeducator in the Elk Grove Unified School District. She also worked as a registered Behavior Technician providing in- home ABA. Beyond her professional background, she is a parent of three, two of whom are on the autism spectrum. Her personal journey navigating early diagnoses, speech therapy services, and the IEP process for her sons has deeply influenced her passion for this field.

RACHEL PROCTOR
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/ OFFICE MANAGER
Rachel has over 10 years of experience in administration and software support, with hands-on expertise in scheduling systems, electronic health records, and billing tools used in clinical settings. She supports efficient clinic operations while helping create a seamless, positive experience for patients and families. As the clinic’s office manager and the owner’s executive assistant, she oversees billing, daily operations, staff coordination, and a range of administrative functions. She is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment and enjoys helping clients and families feel comfortable and supported throughout their care experience.
